Combination coffee pot and burr grinder?

QUESTION:

Hi, could you please tell me a brand that sells a single cup brewer and burr grinder.

Thanks, Tony

ANSWER:

Tony, hi

Not really. Unless I misunderstand your question, you're trying to combine two very different types of coffee maker into one.

Single serve coffee makers take pods, K-Cups or T-Discs, depending on the brand. These sealed containers are pre-filled with ground coffee – just enough for a single cup of coffee. So no grinding is required.

And then there are the grind-and-brew coffee makers. These are drip brewers which also grind the coffee beans. You add water to the reservoir, whole coffee beans to the grinder chamber and then press Start. The beans are ground and then the hot water is immediately dripped down through the fresh coffee grinds.

I hope this answers your question. If not, please use the comments box below.
