Silver City – a blend of coffee from various regions from Idaho Roasting Company.

The Idaho Roasting Company has a big thing about enjoying coffee while it's fresh.

They're not talking about the time between brewing a pot of coffee and drinking it either. They're talking about the time between coffee beans being roasted, and then ground and brewed.

Basically, they advocate making your coffee as soon as possible after the beans are roasted.

That's why they ship their coffees on the same day it is roasted.

That's great news for genuine coffee lovers, because the coffee you buy in the supermarket is often roasted weeks before you actually get to buy and brew it. And a lot of the flavor is lost during that period.

Their Silver City Blend…

The first of their coffees we tried was the Silver City Blend.

It's a specially selected blend of beans from the Central Americas, Indonesia, and South America. In fact, if you pour some of the beans out into your hand, you can see the slight differences in tone and size...depending on the region each bean came from.

As for the taste, we loved it.

It's not a coffee we would choose for that first cup of the day to get us out of bed. (We like a pretty hard-hitting brew to get the gears turning each morning.)

But it's a beautiful, full-bodied brew for any other time of day. It has a rich but soft taste that stays in your mouth and lingers. There's nothing harsh or sudden about it. It's smooth and full from the first taste to the last.

If you like a brew with a rich taste, but not too strong, we can certainly recommend this blend.
