Kahvé Coffee’s Verona blend – a blend of light and medium roast coffees, and surprisingly bold.
First, we would like to thank the folks at Kahvé Coffee for sending us a generous sample of their Verona blend. We were a little slow to try it, but when we did, we were pleasantly surprised. Why the surprise? Because while we taste all kinds of different coffees, our personal preference is usually for coffees with a bold taste. Yes, we love the subtleties of mild gourmet coffees, but we also appreciate the kick of a rich, bold brew – particularly first thing in the morning. Hence the pleasant surprise with this Verona blend. Yes, it is smooth, without any harsh notes or acidic bite. It has all the qualities of a pleasant, mellow brew. But it is mellow without being weak or wishy-washy. It has the certain taste of a darker roast, but without any of the sharp edges. To our palates, this Verona blend is a perfect example of a medium roast coffee which has the bold taste of a darker roast, but is still smooth and easy to drink. It doesn’t have the subtleties and range of flavors you might find in a more expensive coffee, and it plays on one note – from the first sip to the lingering after taste. But the note it plays is perfect. A great coffee for the first cup of the day, and at any other time. It even holds up nicely when used to make espresso. If you can’t find it locally, buy the Verona blend from KahveCoffee.com.
