Newman's Own Special Blend Extra Bold K-Cups. And yes, they’re bold.

The Newman's Own Special Blend Extra Bold K-Cups are for coffee lovers who use a Keurig brewer...and like their brew to taste like a good, strong coffee.

In fact, there is a little extra coffee packed in to these K-cups. And it makes a difference.

This is a blend of medium roasted Central American coffees and darker-roasted Indonesians. And, as with all Newman’s Own coffees, this one is Fair Trade Certified and organic.

Here’s our take on the taste...

As always, we taste coffees black, and then with a little cream.

In this instance, we first brewed it in our Keurig B60 at the smallest brew size. And that, we believe, was a small mistake on our part. It tasted a little too strong, and a little harsh for our taste.

But when we tried it at the regular brew size, it was a whole different story.

The strength was still there, but with the rich body and balanced flavor we were expecting from an “extra bold” coffee. Any sense of harshness was gone.

Once we added a little cream, the taste still held well, and we were left with the impression of a bold coffee that was well-balanced with some more mellow tones.

Try Newman's Own Special Blend Extra Bold K-Cups for yourself.

While Green Mountain Coffee offers a variety of different Newman’s Own blends, this one is available in K-Cups only.

If you have a Keurig brewer, we recommend you give it a try. For us it will be a favorite morning coffee, with enough body to kick-start our day.
