Why buy organic and fair Trade Coffees?
Coffee is grown in delicate, tropical ecosystems which are very vulnerable to intensive farming techniques.
When you buy organic and fair trade coffee, whether in coffee pods or as whole beans, you are directly helping small coffee farmers who want to protect the environments in which they work and live by using traditional, organic farming techniques.
In addition, coffee pods are more gentle in the environment than the other single serve formats like K-Cups and T-Discs. The last two formats include plastics in their manufacture, which means after every cup you brew, you are creating waste which ends up in a landfill or incinerator.
Coffee pods, however, are made of paper and are biodegradable.
So you can enjoy your organic coffee pods in the knowledge that you are helping small coffee farmers, and your own local environment.
