Save on the price of coffee pods – there are three ways to save on what you pay per cup.

The convenience of making one cup of coffee at a time brings you face to face with the price of coffee pods.

Whatever the deal you find, coffee pods will always cost you a little more than buying whole or ground beans and using a regular drip brewer.

It’s the price we pay for being able to make a single cup at a time.

But don’t feel too bad. Coffee pods costs less than K-Cups, which are used in Keurig brewers.

And the extra cost of making one cup at a time with a coffee pod is mitigated somewhat by the fact that you never waste any coffee.

With drip brewers people often make a full carafe, and then don’t drink it all. So some of the savings of buying whole or ground beans literally goes down the drain.

Two ways to save on the price of coffee pods.

First, always check out the price of coffee pods at Amazon.com.

Because of their size, Amazon will usually be able to undercut the prices offered anywhere else, and often by a significant amount. We have seen deals where you can save 40% or more.

And if you buy two or three boxes or bags at a time, you can get free shipping too.

The second way to save on coffee pods is to buy yourself a refillable “pod holder”.

Instead of using individual coffee pods each time you brew, you fill the pod holder with loose ground coffee, place it in your brewer, and then wash it after each use.

You’ll save on the cost per cup of coffee, and you’ll also find you have a broader selection of coffees to choose from.

The only downside is that you lose a little of the convenience of using regular coffee pods, because you have to wash and refill the pod holder each time you make a cup of coffee.

Either way should help you reduce the price of the coffee pods you buy for your brewer.
