Coffee Pods

Coffee Pods

As much as I love the Keurig, you can't open it and get that nasal full of aroma as you do with the PODS. Or the top froth with each brew. POD, which came first, was sleeping while Keurig was raising to the top of the Single Cup market, so now it's catch up time.

BUNN now offers a POD single brew MyCafe and a commercial model. Sun Cafe a new company emerging out of Canada offers a POD model with your choice of 5, 8, 10 or 12 oz.

Now more and more roasters have the pods and more of the specialty coffees, Kona, Jamaican Blue Mountain, VanHoutte and Wolf Gang Puck offer PODs and at about 20 cents less per cup and environment friendly.

Now don't toss the Keurig to start but you may want to get a POD adaptor, different from the MyKcup, for about $12 to add to your selection of coffees. I have one on order to test it. I'll be back with my results.

Where are all the coffee pods in stores?
by: Sara

I wish coffee pods were more popular, and that I could find them in more stores. I have an older Senseo brewer and almost always have to order my pods online.

They are so much a better idea than brewers that need plastic cups. when I have used a coffee pod, I just drop it in the compost. Even if you don't have a compost bin, it's better to throw away a paper pod with used coffee than a plastic cup or capsule. At least the coffee pod breaks up into almost nothing when it gets to the landfill. So how come coffee pods are not more popular?
