Coffee Detective Newsletter #29 -- A survey, and 4 new coffee articles

The Coffee Detective Newsletter

Issue #29 October 2013

Greetings,

After taking a “newsletter” break over the summer, it’s time to ramp up again as we get into serious coffee-drinking season. Yes, people drink more coffee when the weather cools off in the fall!

First, I would be very grateful if you could spend about 5 seconds completing my latest survey. I simply want to know when you buy your coffee as whole beans, or pre-ground. Or – gasp – as instant coffee granules.

It’s the first survey on the page here… (Feel free to complete any of the other 5-second surveys too.)

Plus, there may be a few new pages and reviews you haven’t found yet on the site. Although I haven’t sent any newsletters over the summer, I have been busy adding new material to the site.

Here are some of the new pages you might have missed:

When and why I use digital coffee scales before brewing.

The best home coffee brewers now have an SCAA Certification.

Café Santo Domingo coffee from the Dominican Republic.

Trying out Melitta’s Single Serve Coffee Cups in our Keurig brewer.

I’ll aim to deliver at least one newsletter a month between now and the end of the year. Coffee companies always get busy this time of year, introducing new coffees and even new coffee brewing systems. Yes, although summer is just over, the coffee business already has its eyes on the holiday season.

That’s it for now.

Until next time.

Nick
