The Coffee Detective Newsletter

Issue #38 August 2015

Greetings,

I have added quite a number of new pages to the site since the last issue. But rather than bury you in a ton of new coffee pages, let me tell you about just three of them.

First, I wrote our third and final review of coffees from King’s Row Coffee. And…they were nice enough to get back to me with a coupon code just for Coffee Detective readers.

The code is – coffeedetective20 – and it saves you 20% on your total. Best of all, you can use it twice, on two separate occasions. Just add the code where indicated during checkout.

Our latest review, of the King’s Row Coffee’s Coastal Blend, is here….

Next up, I reached out to coffee lovers around the world, asking them to send in “outdoor coffee” photos – the more interesting the better.

We had some great submissions from France, Vietnam, Spain, Estonia, Finland and some other countries too. You can find the photos here.

Finally, we just uploaded a short video review of Gourmesso capsules. These are third-party espresso and Lungo capsules for use in Nespresso machines.

I have always been in two minds about all the single serve brewing systems out there. Yes, they are clean and convenient. But it always irks me that the K-Cups, pods, discs and capsules are so expensive. You end up paying an awful lot for that extra convenience.

Gourmesso addresses that issue for Nespresso lovers with a range of capsules that cost 30% less than the one’s sold direct through Nespresso.

If you have a Nespresso machine, or are thinking of getting one, that 30% saving will really add up over course of a year or two.

Watch out video review of Gourmesso capsules here.

That’s it for this issue. I hope you are having a great summer!

Best wishes,

Nick
