Coffee pods for airline coffee brewers?

by Jim
(Seattle Wa USA)

QUESTION:

We operate a Boeing 757- 200. We recently installed a new galley purchased 10 years ago. The coffee maker an Atlas standard Part Number 64753-001-003 uses a 1.6 liter Pot. The coffee filter container uses a "standard 70 Gram Coffee Pillow". No Coffee provider recognizes this sized of pre-packaged filter bag it is roughly 3 X 4 inches rectangular filter receptacle. This would equal about 2.5 ounces per filter packs. Who manufactures and or sells or where can I purchase pre packaged coffee filters meeting this requirement?

ANSWER:

Jim hi

Well, that's a tough question! I don't have an answer for you yet, but I'm getting close. I contacted the manufacturer of the brewers in Germany who have put me in contact with Kraft Foods in the US. They tell me they will get back to me with a supplier for you next week.

As the question and answer are probably not that relevant to most readers of this site, maybe it would be best if you contacted me directly with your email address and I'll send you the answer privately. Send me your address through the form on the Privacy & Contact page (see left navigation.)

Nick
