Keurig K-Cup Brewer

QUESTION:

Ok so I have just received my third replacement in the mail yep the third one, they keep giving us the Keurig 400 which we had a Keurig 425 and it worked for 9 months until we got the dreadful water pressure error sign.

This AM brand new out of the box I was super excited to get back to drinking my favorite coffee and that error, the one I dreaded came up again, I want to smash all of these worthless machines into a hundred pieces!

This is unreal! And when o call they are super nice but they told me it was because I was double filtering my water, omg I about died, I said so because I'm using water from the fridge and we have a water filter in our system it's causing this.

Ok well we got the new machine didn't put the water filter in it and viola the sign appeared again!! I'm livid. I don't even know if I can get money back at this point, I just wanted my machine to work, that's it, are we that unlucky that we get 3 broken machines? Each one can't get through one cup of coffee?

And then you clean the damn thing, go through the rigorous process of making sure not one damn ground is in that stupid bulby disc, and then you hold your breath for that second cup cause dammit it's gonna work, you just used all the crap they gave you to make this work and then there's that stupid sign again.

Something is wrong with the cheap k400 they are giving as replacements, I want one that works, that's all!

So my question is do I replace it AGAIN or try to get them to send me a gift card from where I bought it since there replacements are shite!

ANSWER:

Paula, hi

Sounds crazy to me too. I can’t even imagine why or how filtering your water could possibly impact the workings of a coffee maker.

And if it does, that’s crazy too!

As for what you can do about this, I honestly don’t know.

I’m publishing your story just in case others have been through the same experience, and can cast some light on the situation, or share a way to resolve the problem.

Thanks for the question!

Best wishes,

Nick

My 3rd k425 also
by: Virginnia

My third k425 also, which was also replaced with k400. Do t remember previous problems but now tyis one leaks from somewhere I cant determi e. Just leaves puddle after brewing a cup or carafe full of coffee. Just checked and apparently they no longer make a brewer that makes a carafe size. However they still sell carafes, but i have both kinds they sell. Emailed but no reply yet.

What other brand will work with all the boxes of flavored pods i already bought, or reusable cupsize and carafesize pods i have already invested $$$$ in?

Curses, foiled again! Now i gave to dispose of everything and get another type/brand. Maybe a 1950’s type percolator is the answer - either top of stove or electric.

Any recommendations?

I feel your pain

I had the same problem with K400. I sent it back 3 times and finally told them to send me a K40 because I was so sick of the problem.
The K400 was a gift from my son and the K40 was not equivalent in value but I was so frustrated! I wrote a review on the Keurig site so I hope they fixed the problem
