King Filter Package (1950's?)
QUESTION:
I have found an old package of King Coffee Filters, a product of the King Coffee Filter Co., Inc., Rochester 6, N.Y. They are from the 1950's or earlier. They were made to be used with stove-top percolators.
Each filter is square, with one hole in the center which centers the filter on the empty coffee basket) and a hole on each of the four corners. After putting ground coffee in the basket, the corners were folded over and secured on the center tube to "wrap" the coffee.
The package (which cost 25 cents)was a 4 x 6 inch envelope. I'd like to learn exactly when this product was made and sold, as well as the history of the company that made it. My online searches so far have been fruitless. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
