The Tassimo T20 and Disc

QUESTION:

I have a home Tassimo that will not brew the professional Tassimo discs. Is there a way to trick the home Tassimo into using the professional disks?

ANSWER:

Peter, hi

First off, my apologies for the delay in replying.

Sooo... we do have a Tassimo brewer here at chez Coffee Detective. But I’ve never had access to one of their professional machines, or the discs that are sold with them.

So, I had to do a touch of sleuthing.

As far as I can tell, nobody has yet figured out a way to make the pro discs work with their home machines.

And I’m think that’s exactly what Tassimo had in mind when they added the extra bar code data to the Tassimo Pro discs.

Here’s what it says on their website:

“TASSIMO PROFESSIONAL T-DISCS are not compatible with TASSIMO home brewers, helping to reduce the chance of employee pilferage.”

Peter... this isn’t you they’re talking about, is it? : )

If anyone out there has figured out a way to hack this, do share!

Best wishes,

Nick
